Welcome to Craftworker. These terms are a plain-language agreement between you and Craftworker covering your use of this site. By creating an account or using the site, you agree to them.

What Craftworker is

Craftworker is a directory and introduction service. We help people ("Seekers") discover independent craftspeople and studios ("Artisans") and open a conversation about commissioned work. We are not a party to any commission. Agreements, payments, timelines, and deliverables are strictly between you and the other party.

Accounts

You must provide accurate information and keep your login secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 18 to use Craftworker. One person may hold both an Artisan profile and use the site as a Seeker under the same login.

Artisan profiles

Artisans are responsible for the accuracy of their profiles, including pricing history, credentials, and the ownership of every image they upload. Upload only work that is yours or that you have the right to display. Gallery photos are reviewed before appearing publicly, and profiles whose work includes mature subject matter must enable the mature-content setting. The "AI-Free" badge is a self-attestation by the artisan; Craftworker does not independently verify it.

Messaging and conduct

Messaging exists to discuss commissions and craft. Do not use it to spam, harass, deceive, solicit off-platform payment scams, or request personal information beyond what a commission reasonably requires. We may remove content, restrict messaging, or close accounts that break these rules. You can report and block other users at any time.

Payments happen off-platform

Craftworker does not process payments, hold funds, or guarantee any transaction. Read the Contacting Guide before starting a conversation, be cautious with deposits, and never share financial credentials in messages.

Content and license

You keep ownership of what you upload. You grant Craftworker a non-exclusive license to host and display it for the purpose of operating the site (for example, showing your gallery on your page and in the directory). Delete your content or your account at any time; deletion removes your profile, images, and messages from the live site.

Disclaimers

The site is provided "as is." We do not vet Artisans or Seekers beyond the moderation described here, and we make no warranties about the quality, safety, legality, or outcome of any commission. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Craftworker's liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us in the past twelve months (currently: nothing).

Changes

We may update these terms; the version number above will change when we do. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms. Material changes to messaging rules will be re-presented for acknowledgment before you contact a new artisan.
