“My chef’s knife was fit to my grip in person at the shop. A year of daily prep later it still holds an edge like nothing I’ve owned.”

Bend, Oregon
About the Artisan
I forge kitchen knives, outdoor blades, and hand tools from high-carbon steel in a one-man shop outside Bend. Every blade is shaped by hammer and anvil, ground by hand, and heat-treated in-house.
I take a short list of commissions each season—chef's knives fit to your grip, restoration of family blades, and small-batch tools for people who actually use them.
- Hand-Forged High-Carbon Steel
- In-House Heat Treatment
- Custom Commissions Welcome
- Lifetime Sharpening Included
The Process
Each knife begins as bar stock brought to forging heat and moved under the hammer until the bevels and profile emerge. Forging, not grinding, sets the character of the blade.
Learn More About My Process
After heat treatment the blade is ground, hand-sanded, and fitted with a handle in local hardwood or micarta. Every edge leaves the shop shaving sharp.
What People Say
“He restored my grandfather’s hunting knife and it came back better than the day it was made. Incredible care and communication.”
